Squash Relish

6 to 8 large Squash chopped
2 red peppers chopped
1 green pepper chopped
4 large candy onions chopped

Chop fine and mix well.  Sprinkle 1/3 cup salt on top of mixture.  Do not stir.  Cover with ice cubes and let stand one hour or longer.  Drain well.

Canning Solution
3 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
2 teaspoons tumeric
Mix ingredients and put in saucepan.  Boil for 3 minutes.  Add relish mixture after draining to canning solution and boil for 10 minutes.  Put in hot jars and seal.  Makes 6 pints.
